Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason by Helen Fielding

Summary: The sequel to Bridget Jones's Diary.

My Review: Oh Bridget! You understand all us single woman who have no prospects! We understand you, because even if we are dating, we aren't dating anyone good!

But wait, Bridget stays with the handsome and rich Mark Darcy from the first book? This lovely and intelligent man who also wishes to end his singledom? SHE GETS TO HANG OUT WITH COLIN FIRTH?? This must be fiction.

Okay, okay, so the first book was ten times better than this one. Bridget was such a fun and new suprise then. But even so, The Edge of Reason is still pretty darn funny, even if Ms. Fielding has to make up all sort of crazy obstacles to come up between the two lovers. And the character of the annoying impediment named Rebecca is written so perfectly! She is that evil beautiful woman that all us regular woman don't want to meet and definitely don't want our boyfriends to meet!

All in all, it is definitely a fun read for twenty or thirtyish woman, I would say. (But definitely read about her antics in the first book first!) I couldn't resist cheering for Bridget in the end for her great life and for Mr. Darcy for being such a dashing hero!
