Somehow I got sucked into this - I sort of like Julia Stiles and tivo-ed this
just in case it was interesting. Once again, Julia Roberts plays the exact same
character she plays in every movie she has ever been in, but I can't really hold
that against her as that was my expectation. This was a bad movie and a guilty
pleasure. But Kristen Dunst is really clever in this and her timing is perfect.
I didn't want to like Kristen Dunst after her annoying child performance in
Interview With a Vampire, (one of the worst movies ever in my humble opinion),
but after this and Spiderman she is definitely winning me over. She is great in
this. So is Marcia Gay Harden, but she is always great (see Mystic River!)
Bottom line, Julia is awful as always, but some of the other performances are
great and it does remind you how far we ladies have come!!!!
